The Python Constrictor, Ride #2 of the PineolaPython181.com motorcycle ride is a similar but alternate route. The main motorcycle ride of the Pineola Python 181 runs from Pineola North Carolina to Morganton North Carolina. This motorcycle ride offers  miles of twists and turns, passing lanes going north or south on the highway, the Brown Mountain Lights Overlook, several off road pull offs, waterfall hikes, back country campgrounds sites, gas stations, restaurants, RV campgrounds, live music, and an elevation change of over 2000 feet and beautiful mountain landscapes and views no matter what season.

The PineolaPython181.com motorcycle ride starts and ends at, “The Mountain Boomer” right across from the Blue Ridge Parkway milepost 312. The Mountain Boomer serves slow cooked pulled port, smoked salmon, beer, serving bar, live music, clean bathrooms and plenty of seating inside and out. Plenty of parking so your group can gather before and after the ride.

Python Constrictor Notes:
So before you get into the downtown area of Morganton the ride will take you Left on 64 and back into the downtown Morganton area a different way. Like the original PineolaPython181.com the ride takes you back up the curves of 181. When you reach Pineola you will yield right on to 221 until the stop light. Take a Left and head in to the small mountain town of Newland, North Carolina. There is gasoline stop at Newland Valero on the main stop light and intersection. Here you take a right at the light and another quick right on Library Place, then a left on Elk Street. You will pass by the War memorial for veterans. You are now on Hickory Nut Gap Road which cuts across the mountains. From here its all twits, turns, curves and more. At the bottom of this challenging road is Wild Cat Lake a great place to stop if you need to. The you will pass the sports complex for Lees McCrae College on your right which the road interesects with Tynecastle Highway 184. Take a Right at the intersection and head towards Sugar Mountain, pass Food Lion and you will come to a major 4-way interesection of 184 and 105. Take a Right onto 105 to Linville NC. Pass the many country clubs on both sides you will come to a traffic light. Take a right. You are in Linville NC. If your hungry stop in at Smokeys Fillin Station for the Best Burger Around! The next traffic light take a Left back onto 221 and back to the Mountain Boomer where you started.
